All Minor Leagues Independent AND No Reserve Roster -- Possible?

Trying to recreate early baseball but with the minor leagues remaining permanently independent. No MLB affiliations.

Likewise I want no reserve roster. You carry what you have. If there's an injury you have to buy someone from another team (major or minor) or sign a free agent if your budget allows, or make some kind of transaction (trade, waiver, etc.). Or you just go without.

So far in my tinkering I haven't found a way to switch off reserve rosters without having to affiliate minor leagues.

Anyone done this before?

You can't turn off reserve rosters. In order for the the AI to function there needs to be players available to adjust for injuries. The game requires a minimum reserve roster of 15 players.

I have thought about trying to set up something along these lines as well. One addition I would like to add is an annual draft of college players. In other words, a universe that more resembles the way American football is structured. Players who complete their college eligibility would then go into a draft pool for the major league teams. Those not drafted, or cut after the draft, would be free to sign with any team in the independent leagues.

Please post about how your league is going, positive or negative.

I haven’t tried this suggestion but try setting both active and reserve roster size to minimum limits, eg 15 each. Then set roster expansion date to opening day. Rosters will expand to 30 and reserve roster will be empty?
