How beautiful to play in the old parks - random debut
Okay. If I have finally learned how to do this right, you should all see my 1947 random debut Yankees, with Mickey Mantle at bat, playing in Baltimore's Memorial Stadium against the Orioles (converted from the St. L Browns) with Thornton Lee pitching.

Mickey grounded out to first.
Here is our Mudcat Grant pitching to George Crowe in the following inning. How cool is this? |

The game takes an ugly turn:
Max West homers with Bob Bailey on in the sixth to give the Orioles a 2-1 lead. Now, with two in already on a George Crowe homer, the Birds load the bases. I get Firpo Mayberry up in the bullpen. Mudcat says he feels fine. He needs to by me some time at least. |

Now it's our turn !
Down 5-1, we load the bases thanks to a rare Granny Hamner error. Rabbit Maranville at the plate. I have pinch hitters on the bench, but Rabbit's hitting .296, and I will let him bat. |

Maranville flies out deep to left. Manush throws the ball away, a run scores and our runners move up to second and third.

I get Morrie Morris, so far more reliable than Mayberry, up in the bullpen, and bring in Cleon Jones to pinch hit for Mudcat Grant.

Cleon grounded out to Hamner, but a run scored. Lou Brock then singled up the middle, scoring Duncan and Brock stole second on the second pitch by Lee, bringing Jim Gilliam up with a runner in scoring position.

Ground out to second base. We go to the bottom of the 8th, down by one run.

Down by one going into the top of the 9th, Ferris Fain singles sharply up the middle, and Mickey Mantle hits a double to the deepest part of the park in center field.
Two on, none out, for Bill Bruton. |

Rats. With two outs, and runners on first and third, Morris can't find the strike zone. I get Al Worthington up but not in time. Morris walks two straight batters to tie the score, and Worthington walks in the winning run.

We got 'em back the following day: they walked in an insurance run in the 7th and Carl Erskine went all the way for a 3-1 victory.

How are you getting the camera angles that low and close to the field?

The low and wide view - up on the right hand upper part of the screen when you are in a game. You can adjust the view, depending on which of these old parks you are in, you get more or fewer options.
