Unfortunately, it doesn't seem I have any usable enough logos for ballcaps related to the teams you did above, TMM. The Chroniclers' caps should use any or all of the colors present on the uniforms, as should the ones for the Stylish Bards.

The Wacky Robots' preferred main team colors have already been mentioned. And I was not specific on colors for the Cosmic Turtles, except to say that I want their look to be rather colorful, if possible.

I also suggested possible cap details for the Robots and the Turtles. For the Bards, perhaps something like stylish-looking poets or playwrights might work well for them? Think Shakespeare dressed in clothing perhaps somewhere between the Victorian Era to about a hundred years later, perhaps, for example?

For the Chroniclers, perhaps something mostly older-looking might work for the logo and/or caps, at least. Like maybe something closer to Colonial times, with appropriate colors in use, based on the related uniforms above to at least a degree, but still the same font on the uniforms, if possible, I think.

Washington's Story-Seekers should have a look similar to how many teams may have looked in the 1940's or so, I think. Think newspaper reporters, perhaps, from about that era, especially when it came to writing about sports, for example. Traditional American colors might be best here.

Amarillo's Ravenous Word-Eaters, I don't really have much an idea about, except for maybe various words in sandwiches somehow being eaten by walking brains or something, for example, in terms of a potential logo or two? Colors or fonts to potentially use for the logos, caps, and/or uniforms, I don't currently seem to have a preference about here, to be honest.

Saga-Makers should utilize a Western-looking font, I think, and the mountains should perhaps be incorporated into the related logo or logos, at least, if not also for the caps and/or uniforms. Maybe someone who looks like a combination of a mountain man and a pioneer might work well for logo-related elements, at least, too. Colors undecided for the logos, caps, and uniforms, as well, at the moment.

If you think of something along the lines of a genealogist and/or archeologist and/or a theologian for the Eternal Lore-Keepers, I think such a look might be good for them, at least for their logo. However, they should have an older look to them, if possible, somehow, I suppose, as well.

As for the Jumping Jubilee Men, think mostly formal looks for them, but not necessarily ones too similar to the ones for the Stylish Bards. Also, think of marriage or religious holiday-type celebrations, I think, where possible. They should be colorful, with blue and white being included among their main colors, if possible.

As for the San Francisco Trekking Scouts, think Star Trek mostly meets both the Boy Scouts of America and the Lewis and Clark Expedition, in terms of main colors used for the logos, caps, and/or uniforms. But no spaceships, and no aliens or beings from another world, fictional or real. Fonts should perhaps be ones suitable for the space age, at least, I think, though.

That is all for now, I believe, folks. CD out.

Bumping, seeing as this thread hasn't been posted to here for a while. Low, Rock, Knuckler, or txranger, for example, do any of you perhaps want to try doing any of the above teams that remain to be done here, by any chance? Just wondering. Thanks in advance if you can do so here, for sure. CD out.

Check back to the mudflaps jersey I threw out to you, and you know what, you are completely capable of doing that same jersey set on your own, and perhaps to a higher quality yourself!

Go back to my HS feeder thread, Eugene Church requested my fonts, and I posted mediafire links for him, and joe blow, and you too CD!

You Can Do It Man!

I have a Dream, My dream of the future USA is a CD who posts his own unique OOTP jersey sets!

Trying to figure out how to do the Birmingham Wacky Robots sets here. Think anyone could help me work on this set step-by-step, starting with the home jersey, at least, so that I can do this well enough here? I'll follow along as best as I can, of course, as you do, if you do, folks. Please advise, if you like. Thank you. CD out.

Use Justafan Jersey Creator... it must be installed on your computer.

1. Click on Jersey Creator Icon on your desktop and open it up.
2. Choose Pinstripes and select none.
3. Choose "Front/Back" color... select Red.
4. Choose "Sleeve" color... select Red.
5. Choose "Sleeves/Undershirt" color... select Red.
6. Choose "Collar" color... select Red.
7. Choose "Piping"... select none.
8. On "Logo Source"... change it from "Image" to "Text".
9. Choose Text 1... and choose the default font.
10. Choose Font Color... select Red.... type WACKY in text space.
You can increase or decrease the size of the Text by scrolling over it
11. Choose Text 2... select Font Color Red... type ROBOTS in text space.
Scroll over the Text to increase or decrease it in size.
12. Choose "Buttons"... select none.
13. Choose V Neck... select "Thick".
14. Choose color for V Neck... select Red.
15. Choose "Text 2 Nudge Section... to place ROBOTS where you want it on the jersey... use the arrows to move ROBOTS around.
16. Choose "Text 1 Nudge Section"... to place WACKY where you want it on the jersey... use the arrows to move WACKY around.
17. Save the Jersey as a Template... you can open a template up and make changes in it, if you would like.
18. Save the Jersey.

This is nothing fancy... just the basic way to use the jersey software... the software will do much more than I have showed you here... this is just the bare basics.

Hope it helps you... this is like "the blind leading the blind"... sorry, I'm terrible with technology... but maybe it will get you started in making your own logos, jerseys and caps.

The more you use the software, the more you will learn... and the better your jerseys will get.

This is what the home white jersey will look like... it's not very good... I don't have any script fonts... just block lettering.

Once you can do a white home jersey, I will give you instructions for making the gray away jersey.

CD, If I were you, I would find teams that already have logos, jerseys and caps created... there are many, many great graphics available... start with Txranger and knuckler's Retro Thread... download your logos, jerseys and caps there.

low's thread is another great source of teams... Lawn Loaf, too.

You just need to find them... create your league... and start enjoying playing the game.

Listen to me... no one is going to help you because your requests are too complicated and too complex...and you want too many teams.

Concentrate on just one league with 8-16 teams and stop trying to create a league with hundreds of teams.

Having trouble with this sort of thing, unfortunately, in relation to the Wacky Robots, at least. Whether it's for the online versions of things or not, I still am, it seems. CD out.

I'd like to design my own uniforms and caps and logos, but having trouble at the moment, unfortunately, my dear friend. Have just been trying to do things related to the Wacky Robots myself, as a matter of fact. But still having trouble, you see. CD out.

I AM trying to concentrate on just one league or team at a time, but still having trouble, Eugene. Even with Justafan's programs, I am. But I'll keep trying to figure out how to do this well enough, with or without help, for sure. I'm no quitter if I don't have to be, or at least I try not to be, anyway. CD out.

Ok, I don't have a horse in his race, but it's time for you 'helping people' to back off of CD with your 'helpful' suggestions. They aren't helpful. So, at the risk of throwing the match or the gauntlet (go ahead, I'm well-equipped), find something else to do and someone else to 'help.'

Eugene, as much I respect you and think you're among the kindest-intending men on the boards, the irony of offering your thanks to Lawn's posts and beginning to chime in with comment is not lost on me. You have hundreds, hundreds, of times requested work, followed by additional minutia to adjust those accommodations. I won't belabor the point, but you have what you have because you asked and you received. Honor CD with the same latitude.

Lawn, thanks for your HS contributions and your ability to take on the project and demonstrate your skills. Can we leave it at that? Those that are grateful for them and find them useful in their worlds? Whatever prompted your recent evangelical bent on creating more creators has overstayed its intention, notwithstanding the verbage you utilized to, intentionally or not, demean the non-willing.

We can simply end this, let his requests stand like any other request on the forum with its due respect or indifference or we can turn this into an us vs them conflict in which, at the moment, though I abhor the possibility, I am more than capable and willing to accommodate..

I downloaded LL's fonts, but I'm still having trouble getting things close enough to the way I might want them, or need them, and I was just trying to find suitable free robot-related clip art, for example, that I could possibly use for the Birmingham Wacky Robots. I still haven't found it, unfortunately, but I'll keep looking, whether or not I try to draw them on my computer as well, for sure.

Thanks for your kind words, endgame. They are very much appreciated. CD out.

I had a lot of fonts before my computer decided it needed to refresh itself around Christmas last year, I believe, and now I don't necessarily have them all, unfortunately. I'm not sure just how many fonts I had then I don't have now, but I'm reasonably certain it was quite a lot collected over several years, at least.

I'll keep looking for sufficiently good and sufficiently free fonts that I can possibly use at any time, for any legitimate purpose, and also try and see if I can remember just which ones I had that I don't actually have any longer, as I do so, for sure. It may take a while, but hopefully I'll be able to find a lot more good ones, just the same, though, of course. CD out.

Edit: I was possibly able to find them after all, or at least many of them, it seems, after looking in other folders I might have forgotten about or not known about for a while. Now after reinstalling the ones I found that I might have been missing for some time, I should be able to actually use them again. CD out.

And I have looked in MANY threads for items that would satisfy me enough for certain teams and/or leagues, and downloaded MANY, of course. I've probably got around at least half a GB of items in a multi-folder folder in my OOTP 18 directory, if not more than that, taken up already on my hard drive. But there is so much good work here, it's hard to decide what to use and all, for sure.

Unfortunately, I'm currently having a lot of trouble with trying to make certain items well enough to meet my preferences or standards for quality level, et cetera, folks. I'm not really all that good, compared to many others here, I think, on average, in relation to general artistic ability.

Sure, I've done some art-related attempts, before, and I know the saying "Art is in the eye of the beholder," et cetera, but I still don't consider myself the best at doing visual art, even given my experiences related to that virtual world I've mentioned before that closed more than 2 years ago. And it has often been very hard for me to do certain art-type things easily enough at times in my life, to be honest.

Just some things I wanted to say here to you all, folks. We can't all be the best artists in the world now, can we, perhaps? We all have different talents in this life, don't we? My talents often seem to lie more in the area of description than producing good-quality art, I think. Thank you for your time. CD out.

I'm going to have to think about this potential league and/or its teams for a while, if others don't help me here with it or them, I think. I can do some artwork, but not as well as I might like, often, unfortunately, it seems to me. I mean, I can perhaps better visualize things than actually make them, most of the time, and describe them better than I can often make them, evidently.

I know at least somewhat how I would like to see the league and/or its teams look, in terms of logos and whatnot, but actually doing things well enough to be pleased with certain looks, I'm not quite so sure about. It's not because of fear or not trying, or anything like that, it's because I am trying to be honest with myself here, and all, and with the rest of you, by logical extension.

It can be frustrating at times when you know you're having trouble with certain things, no matter how hard you try to do certain things sufficiently well, and all. But I'm not a quitter when I don't have to be, generally, I think, in my life, when it comes to a lot of things in it.

Thank you for your time, folks. CD out.

Alright, I have waited a few days to respond. I wanted to read your post a few times and let it simmer before I came across as a complete Arse in response.

"I don't have a horse in his race, but it's time for you 'helping people' to back off of CD with your 'helpful' suggestions."

Please see:

http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...292101&page=23

So you claim no horse without doing any research on Eugene's contributions in regard to his opinions on this matter, much less his dedication to give back to another in need? Sounds like all you really wanted to do was post some ****e and bait a response....wait you made it clear in the ending to your post:

"We can simply end this, let his requests stand like any other request on the forum with its due respect or indifference or we can turn this into an us vs them conflict in which, at the moment, though I abhor the possibility, I am more than capable and willing to accommodate.."

Well sir, I am only hopeful in helping you recognize the folly in this post:

"They aren't helpful"

Again, maybe do a little bit more research before speaking out in a foolish fashion. The link above certainly was helpful to CD, however he decided to make all help conditional to the molecular level. I suppose that would be lost on you since you make claims without proper research.

"So, at the risk of throwing the match or the gauntlet (go ahead, I'm well-equipped), find something else to do and someone else to 'help.'"

Well, so far the gauntlet has been your creation, as your uneducated opinion is overdue for a true gauntlet run. I don't much care for your opinion as to who I should "help", as the persona is very persistent in his need for the help he requests.
And your opinion being a match? Please sir, don't play ignorant as to your intentions with this post....the match may burn your own you know what...

"Eugene, as much I respect you and think you're among the kindest-intending men on the boards, the irony of offering your thanks to Lawn's posts and beginning to chime in with comment is not lost on me. With all due respect to what as I assume as an enlightened upbringing, and in the hope you were taught an unbiased mean of gathering information, and maybe even at the least of which, they taught you to think before you speak, let me direct you to this post for a second time:

http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...292101&page=23

"Lawn, thanks for your HS contributions and your ability to take on the project and demonstrate your skills. Can we leave it at that? Those that are grateful for them and find them useful in their worlds? Whatever prompted your recent evangelical bent on creating more creators has overstayed its intention, notwithstanding the verbage you utilized to, intentionally or not, demean the non-willing."

So this is a bit personal. "Evangelical"? I really like the way you worded that, as if it could be related to Jim Jones or Christ himself.
Indeed, it was clever in your approach. I really do like the way you phrased that, it made me think of my responses with more importance than I intended.
I'll spill my beans on this: there are maybe 30-40 full time committed modders in this whole community, and the best of them all deserve a real shout out whether they want it or not. Should there be more?

Is it too much to ask for thanks on a creation? Or an opinion? Or an answered question?
I'll go straight to the knees with this question: You are a HOF OOTP member, and I did not check your history, so I am not calling you out, but what have you created for this community, and please post links to what you have to prove me wrong.

Regardless, your post comes across as very ignorant to the nature and INTRICITY of CD's posts, and the help he has requested has been delivered, only for him to place a higher standard to each creation.

"but it's time for you 'helping people' to back off of CD with your 'helpful' suggestions."

Dude get a clue before you post ignorance, and I mean it. Everyone would love to help CD, but CD needs to help himself first, by being reasonable with the help he has been given, and if the work isn't up to his standards, all we are doing is giving him the not subtle advice to just do it himself.

CD has an encyclopedia of jersey requests, here's a helpful suggestion to you: Get them done!

And I am done derailing this thread. I have said my words.

Lawn Loaf and many others here on the forums, I am seriously trying to be as reasonable as I possibly can be at all times around these forums, believe it or not. I know I can definitely be rather verbose and all at times, of course, at the very least. But it's still not always easy for me to translate what I can visualize mentally onto a screen or a piece of paper in visual and non-descriptive formats of various kinds, unfortunately.

And I have left a lot of thanks for many posts on these forums, whether in written form or not, even for items I didn't even request in the first place, as you will be able to see if you check my history here well enough, I'm sure. Not to mention having started a couple of dynasty-related threads, for that matter, at the very least.

I have also tried to help others out around here, if they have had questions, as well. Granted, I may not have been able to help them as much as any of us may have liked, et cetera. But at least I've periodically still tried to give help and advice back where and when I can to this community in whatever ways possible, no matter how that might be, et cetera.

I wouldn't quite say I have an encyclopedia of requests of all kinds here, but I do admit I can be rather picky at times, for sure. And I can make quite a few requests at times, when I get certain ideas in my head for a long enough time, and whenever I feel I might not actually be able to do sufficient enough justice to them visually at any time.

People often do not have certain things because they fail to ask for them, even if they might personally want them in their lives. No matter what it is, they often don't. People can't know what you may want or need from them if you don't talk to them and ask questions or for certain things, you know, whether it's online or offline.

Speaking of Christ, He said, at least once, I believe, "You have not because you ask not." Is that not true of many people in this world? Just saying here, folks.

And with that said here, I'll close this particular post here. Thank you all for your time and attention here. CD out.

No matter what has been written in CD's endless posts with his countless requests ...

Before you advice Eugene to "honor CD with the same latitude" ... I don't know how many requests he made over the years, all I read was that he is and was thankful for all the community did for him.

And when nobody even cared to react to CD and his meticulous requests in his endless posts it was Eugene who offered his help and created a lot of that stuff, even though he admitted he isn't a very skilled modder. And he did it with endless patience.
But because CD's requests are very special several guys now suggested that he should start to create his own stuff, and it was in a polite way. And several guys offered to help him to do that. I really think there is a point when you have to take care of things yourself - there is an endless supply of jerseys/caps and logos here. CD easily could find stuff he could use.

"We can simply end this, let his requests stand like any other request on the forum with its due respect or indifference or we can turn this into an us vs them conflict in which, at the moment, though I abhor the possibility, I am more than capable and willing to accommodate.."

Without Eugene spending all that time to help CD his requests would have done just that - stand on the forum. And nobody would have done a thing and nobody would have cared. But hey, feel free to create the missing stuff, I'm sure there's still enough left for you.
The truth is - CD rather spent his time explaining in every tiny little detail what he wanted from Eugene and the community and not even bothering to search the boards, to try it himself or even search the web for images for the logos he wanted Eugene to creae.

So before calling out Eugene here: Check out CD's posts and how much work Eugene put into this.

Incorrect, I did look, Germaniac, both here and elsewhere, or at least I tried to, as best as I could and still do whenever I possibly can. As for your and other people's earlier suggestions of various kinds, I'm seriously considering them all, for sure, I must say, just so you all know this here well enough.

Although I'm not quite sure just how well I'll be able to do certain things as you and they each suggested earlier just yet. Hopefully I'll find out how well very soon, especially with the Lord's help and leading and all, though. Only time will tell, of course.

As for the things that Eugene did for me, I thanked him quite often for his help, as my history should show, I hope, well enough. And more thanks will be on the way later for other people's help, if they haven't already been thanked for such help and all, I'm sure, in various threads on these forums. I just have to remember where each of those threads and posts are, whether they're my threads or not in terms of who created the relevant threads.

Here's hoping that with God's help, I'll actually be able to do more than just mainly writing dynasty reports or making requests, among other things I might post here on these forums eventually. It may take a good while, of course, but you know what they say, I hope. "Nothing ever truly worthwhile comes easy or quickly," or however that saying may go normally.

Thank you all for your time and attention here. CD out.

Can somebody just make a forum for CD's needs and assistance? Put it in the "mods" sub-categroy? This is getting beyond absurd that multiple threads are being overrun with frustration by all involved.

That is neither necessary or appropriate here, with all due respect to everyone. Plus it would be totally unfair to everyone else for one person to have a single subforum to themselves, and nobody else would be able to have the same kind of treatment. I have never asked for, nor do I want to be given, special treatment just because of how I am, either online or offline, in my life, here on these boards. I want to be treated just like everyone else as much as possible here, without question.

So please do NOT under any circumstances do that here, moderators. I do not want, nor do I deserve, such special treatment here. I am trying to do better here, everyone, with certain things on these boards, and I don't want others to feel as they're being treated unjustly, nor do I want to be either, if it can possibly be avoided at all. CD out.
