Milwaukee Brewers American Association caps, unis, etc.

These aren't 100% historically accurate but I thought I'd share....

What's the story behind the logo character? Is it supposed to be a beer vat/tank?

He's a beer keg. His head is the tap.

Known as "Barrelman". Was a logo used by the Brewers in the 70s.

EDIT: Actually, all the way back to the 40s with the Brewers minor league team, according to the wiki.

This.

The Brewers have actually brought back the Barrelman as a secondary mascot:

Also-the blue and red Brewers uniforms fascinate me because one of the stories surrounding the Seattle Pilots' move to Milwaukee is that Bud Selig actually wanted the Milwaukee team to have the same colors as the old minor league Brewers (red and blue) but didn't have time to change the uniforms when the sale of the Pilots to him became official.

Funny how things work out.

These unis can also be found in the MiLB uniform/cap set.
