Giancarlo Stanton will go to the.... or just stay home?

Place your bets, place your bets! Stanton will go to the Dodgers, Cubs, Astros, Yankees or........just stay home.

Taking your calls now!!

I was WAY off on Ohtani, but I will say he stays in Miami.

I hope he stays in Miami and they trade everyone else to leave behind a team with a $40million payroll that wins 32 games next year.

He stays in Miami, and Jeter burns the team to the ground around him.

Well, looks like the Yankees have already scored about 90-95 runs without even leaving December!

Again, I get breaking news here instead of my news outlet or ESPN! Remarkable.

Cool. GS only has to agree to the Yankees but where else would he want to go? I don't mean in terms of NYC-love but he's already turned down the West Coast and Middle America.

My gosh, what a 3-4-5 lineup of Judge, Stanton, and Sanchez!

EDIT: Oh, jeez. Don't tell me this is going to be a factor:

Stanton would take a cut in take-home pay for his games in the Bronx. While Florida has no state income tax, New York State has an 8.82 percent top rate on income and New York City a 3.876 percent top rate.

He’s going. Pretty sure I read earlier that he’s already in New York for a physical.

Disagree provided that they're all different topics within Base-Ball.

I would think you're more likely to see Gregorius in there somewhere to break up all the RH bats. Something like 2-3-4-5: Judge, Stanton, Gregorius, Sanchez...And no, I'm not looking forward to my team facing that 19 times a season.

Or Mantle and Maris.
Would the 2018 Yankees be closer to the 27 or 61 team?

Heh. Look, here's another reason why you will not be wanting to mess with the New York Yankees next year.

So where does Harper fit in when he signs for $400 million in 2019?

Good questions. I'm not sure how Stanton is in the field but Judge is too good an OF to sit and DH. Figures that one of them will DH because the combo of Gardner, Frazier, and Hicks is too good for more than one of them to be sitting. Notice, by the way, that this discussion does not include Matt Holliday (current DH on the roster but a free agent, still?) at all.

One of Gardner, Frazier, or Hicks will probably be traded depending on who's coming back. Obviously the Yanks would prefer to keep Hicks, but if he gets you something tasty enough, it has to be considered.

Is it obvious? Aaron Hicks has had 3 good months in his life, otherwise is a 28-year old corner OF with a .210-ish career average. I'd take Hicks third of that list.

Damn. Once again fell victim to only considering most recent level of play. He can handle CF though can't he?

True, he has played CF. Results are mixed, but he only has about a seasons worth of games so UZR is pretty weak still. They traded Andrew Miller to get Frazier. I doubt they bail on him. Hard to say what they do with Gardy.

Actually, my surprise was the same as Leo the Lip. I thought $500M to Harper would be a done deal. If they get Harper and Stanton I'm gonna throw up in my mouth.
