What aspects of the game are controlled in the "challenge mode"? Are the parameters set such that results are truly comparable among users? For example, is only one trading setting allowed?

We're still figuring this out, so I cannot get too specific here. But most editor functions will be locked, no long-term simulations are available and many new achievements can only be unlocked when you play games out instead of just simming them.

Tournaments----can this be used with the historical exhibition feature? How large can the tournaments be? Does the game keep stats for entire tournament?

There was no mention of a new feature for head to head play ! Has that been scrapped and not even considered. I am very disappointed not to see head to head options in this version................it is long over due! Even without that feature................I have pre-ordered and look forward to the new game.

We considered this, but for the traditional OOTP online leagues it was too much work and would not be used enough to warrant the effort. However, we'll have an exciting announcement later in the year, so stay tuned

Glad to hear of the ability to retain salary in trades. Could make being a Commish easier with trades.

Historical exhibiton -> no, but good idea. Maybe we can add this later.
Large -> I don't know, but fairly large.
Stats -> Yes, stats are tracked like for a league.

In OOTP 18, instead of always having to create a GM or Manager, can I simply "ACT as that GM" with a new game?

For example, instead of creating Brian Cashman(GM of the Yankees)...can I choose to BE Brian Cashman(Keeping his history, traits, ect)?

Same goes for managers, so I can do everything/control everything he does BUT keep his history, contract, stats, ect.

International tournaments - does that mean round robin-style play? If so, can that be used as a playoff structure in a normal league?

No, I am afraid this is not possible... the human manager and AI managers are two completely different things in the code.

Can this and the international tournaments be used in an existing fictional league, or would they need to be added in an initial set up of a league?

Can the tournaments involve players from different leagues across a fictional baseball world?

Forgive me if my questions are dumb and/or redundant...I am too excited right now!

Hey, Markus, was the trade interface changed to allow a GM to request a certain type of player?

Can I shop a player and ask ONLY for a particular type of player (by position, age, etc.) back?
