You have to choose the option when you start your game. And it's a mode, and doesn't have to be online even if you set it up that way.

So what's the World Cup of Hockey and Team Europe for if it's not playable in 2016?

If you start a regular game (not Historical), World Cups of Hockey will happen. I don't remember when the next one is scheduled off hand, but it may be Year 2.

Why are the role ratings different on the player's Ratings screen and in my lineup?

See example: he's listed as 18 as two-way dman, but on my team he's suddenly just 6.

It depends on the league/level. Compared to other players in a specific league creates 18->6.

Can I prevent from exiting the autoplay when I get a job offer? I'm playing with a U20 national team (no club team), so I just want to sim the 12 months between two WJCs and it's annoying that it always exits for an offer. I've already set "do not disturb" and cancelled all news subscriptions.

Is the Exit Auto-Play option for "When you receive a personal message" checked? Turn that one off if you want to avoid the offers.

It was, I found out that it makes a difference between clicking on "Continue" and "Autoplay until"
