Setting Up A Roster without Joining a Tournament?

Is there a way to, say, start setting up an iron only roster without actually joining a tournament yet?

I ask because if you don't have the players yet, it's easier to see what you do need by joining a tournament first and then start building a roster. But if you don't have enough players by the time the tourney starts, it'll just assign a bunch of Joe Unknowns in your games.

Easiest workaround for this is to join one of the big tournaments that starts on a timer that's free (that matches the type you want - at least the card tier and roster type, if not exactly the same style of roster/tourney.) You can join and build your roster, and then withdraw from the tournament when you are done tinkering.

To withdraw, you go to the tournament screen, "Your Tournaments" tab and then enlarge the tournament you want to withdraw from with the little [+] button. Withdraw will be at the bottom under the rewards.

Make sure to export what you have saved (it saves your active and reserve roster) before you leave the screen you set up your rosters on, it's a dropdown there.

What do you mean by export? The Submit Team button?

You can save off a tourney roster or load one up after you hit "Set Rosters" and get into the tourney. The general idea is sign up for a touney that isn't starting anytime soon, go setup a roster, save it off using "export" and then withdraw from that tourney.

You now have a pre-made roster you can :"load" after you join a tourney you actually want to play in.

Another thing you can do, is examine a finished tournament and add the players you want to use to that tournament's reserve roster (and remove the ones you don't want from the reserves) and save that. You can't make changes to the active roster of a finished tournament, though. But at least the players you want to use will be conveniently placed to switch around for the next tournament you enter.
