Mike - it is because the FTP protocol, if not specifically defined to use ports that are open both on client machine side and server side without risk of values outside of the open ports, then you can get the stucko. Odds would be very low, and also, unpredictable, but it is possible, and in this case seems like it is trying to use ports that are not open. Is why I feel something changed starting that last OOTP 20 patch that may have altered their code. It is not absolute in working vs not working for a user, clearly, and nor is it Windows vs Mac.

sorry for length, that was the contents of the FTP trace that the GM shared with me a few days back. It connects and starts to transfer the file, and we know because he had uploaded with Filezilla, and the attempt from in-game caused the file he previously uploaded to be replaced with a 0 KB file per this log.

we tried all of the different settings between what I could alter on the online FTP settings side and then using the corresponding GM file on the client side. The only difference is the connection fails with active, and gets made with passive. Lg file download fails in either case, though we have only captured log files per provided for trying to export as of now.
