Exclamation OOTP 16 Patch #4, Version 16.4.17 Available!

Important: This update is only for OOTP 16 versions which were purchased directly from us or resellers who use our version.
It is NOT compatible with the Steam or Mac OSX AppStore version! The Steam update will be available via the Steam client soon and the Mac AppStore version is pending review at Apple, which will take some more days.

Hey guys,

Since we're about to leave for some vacation time (Matt is already gone), we figured we'd release a maintenance patch which fixes some reported problems. It's the 4th update for OOTP 16, version number 16.4.17.

Update Info: To apply the update, simply download the setup file and install it over your current installation. There is no need to uninstall or unlicense your current copy! However, you should quit the game before installing it, of course. Patches always contain all the changes from previous patches / updates. Saved games are compatible between different versions.

Download link for PC:
Main server: PC Installer

Download link for Mac:
Main Server: Mac OS X Installer

Download link for Linux:

Main Server: Linux Installer

Here are the improvements / fixes compared to version 16.3.16:

- Updated roster set (need to start new game for changes to apply)
- Player counter offers should now be acceptable deals to them
- Fixed performances of the day for all-star games
- Adjusted reputation calculation for coaches
- Adjusted budget calculations double counting cash. Adjusted budget calculations to tie closer to revenue.
- Fixed online leagues duplicating player shortlists on upload
- Fixed HOF text for closers (need to delete news\html\images\hof\*.png files from saved game folder to regenerate cards)
- Added batting GS stats to historical import for years starting in 1975
- Fixed several minor bugs + text issues

Final thoughts
The development team is now in complete recovery mode and take some time off. The next update is scheduled for late May, and with it 3D stadiums will get a great overhaul, we'll add custom lineups / depth charts, and we'll also continue to fix reported problems and tweak areas of the game where we feel some fine work is needed.

Cheers!
Markus

Have a nice vacation guys. For the next update a smaller patcher would be nice though =)

Five thousand thanks for a non-modder? I never thought I'd see the day. Thank you for your support.

Suggestion: with so many full updates, how about naming them by version and date released, so instead of ootpsetup.exe, ootpsetup(1).exe, ootpsetup(2).exe, we'd have files with names like ootp15042015.exe?

That way just looking at a file would tell us exactly what it was.

Just as easy to rename it to your liking when you download it, isn't it?

No. Better that each version is clearly labeled.

Being able to save and load our lineups is going to make this game so much better.

To me this is almost like a search engine's 'auto-fill' function in terms of usefulness. I spend a ridiculous amount of time tinkering with and adjusting my lineups, day to day, esp. with frequent injuries. This is going to save me a *ton* of tedious micromanagement, I hope...

Nope. I just added the request to the bug report DB. We'll see what happens.
