After drafting questions

Hi,

I'm pretty new to the game and have most of how to gm a team down pretty well. One very important aspect I know I'm messing up on is developing prospects. I understand how to promote and demote and for the most part when to do so.

My question is this:

After drafting high potential draftees they default to rookie league. I've seen on a YouTube video a person started his draftee in single A. Should I bypass rookie league for proper development or should they play their first year in rookie league?

If you think they're ready for Short A, start them there. Keep an eye on their stats, if they're holding their own, then leave them. If they're struggling, move them down.

Some people do. I look at them and see where I think they might fit. Sometimes you get players who are ready for Short A right away.

It's never a bad thing to start them at your lowest level, let them play a bit, and then see where they fit.
