inaug draft, salary demands question
doing an inaug draft, set up a $150M salary cap, $150M budget for each team. used default salaries (avg superstar is $20M). but, about 12 players are demanding over $40M. even when I hit recalc player demands. Why is that? So, I have AI teams choosing 1 guy and he's taking up 1/3 of their payroll

workaround: for the draft maybe adapt to it? then, you can use the 'apply fictional contracts' [sic] function from league settings page. available actions, if not visible.
that would adjust the contracts to your league's finances. that would also keep the payroll proportional -- ie set payroll values for drafting relative to demands, but don't change anyone's market size or budgets etc. no guarantees that works, of course. only effort would be changing the values for the inaug. draft. you'd have to see if their actual budget sizes still affect the choices. (proportional to new draft budget or hindered by real finances) the generate new contracts function should make things all relative to budgets in league, and nothing to do with the values you chose for the inaug, draft. so under you're finance settings if 40M isn't realistic, you shouldn't see it after you click. |
