Junior tryouts stucked in the NHL roster

So I offered a tryout to some of my draftees with the intention to send them back to their junior team before the start of the season (my take on training camp). Problem. I can't send them back, even by using the commissioner mode. Even if I lapse player rights, nothing changes. What can I do?

When you right click on them, do you not get the option to return them?

Are you on the latest version of the game?

Yes I have the most recent version of the game.

I uploaded the save game under the name "Tryouts bug.zip". I found out there is another save in the lot with a similar name but mine has a S at tryouts.

I might add that I play the Montreal Canadiens.

Not sure how that could've happened, we'll have to dig into that file a bit. But you can continue the game by going into the player editing screen, retiring them (make note any league rights they currently have before doing that, because they'll get wiped), saving, and then unretiring them, restoring the league rights, and saving again. For some reason it still won't let you edit the teams, leaving the players as free agents (retiring removes the team data), but with the rights set they can wind up in the correct place (or you can sign them, the contract offer option will work now that they don't have a team.)
