The WHA gives up.
Well, the WHA fought the good fight, extending its life into the 1990s, but I finally decided to fold the league and let the top 6 teams join the NHL.
How do I do this, beginning with moving the six teams into the NHL? Thanks, again.

They can't be literally moved - you'd need to manually create the teams in the NHL and edit the players over to them, then remove the old WHA versions of the teams. And since a league can't be deactivated, you'd need to keep a couple of dummy teams in the old WHA (but lower their budget so they can't sign anyone useful.)

Well, that bites. Why can't FHM be more like OOTP?

True. And I guess I shouldn't complain...this is the first FHM release I've actually enjoyed playing...
...now where's the football game, guys...?!

I do imagine one day that feature will make its way over, too. But this is the first time we can even disable league evolution in historical mode to keep the WHA active or change when teams move or who joins. So we should be thankful for that as it slowly builds up to the features we recognize from OOTP

Replace the WHA with a fictional custom league.
At least that's what I would do if I got tired of the WHA. |
