Watching your own game while managing a team

Is this possible? I am looking to control a team off of the field but I would still like to see how my players do in the game. I'd like to watch my own team play without controlling what the players or the managers on the field do. Is there any way to do this?

That's what I do all the time. When you start an individual game, you get an Options screen first. Just set your AI manager to manage all the aspects of the game on that screen (in the drop down boxes where you see your own name).

Unfortunately, you have to do this every time you want to watch a game, as these are not "sticky" options.
