Jersey Template for Blender
Compatible with: Blender 4.0 or higher Click on the following link to download the Jersey Template for Blender (version 1.0), https://1drv.ms/u/c/4bb83e655445e4b5...tXuGw?e=37n0XB It is on the Microsoft OneDrive cloud storage service. File name: jersey_template_for_Blender.7z It was archived with the free software, 7-Zip, and contains the following (19) files: - readme.html - screen_shot1.png - screen_shot2.png - screen_shot3.png - screen_shot4.png - screen_shot5.png - screen_shot6.png - screen_shot6a.png - screen_shot7.png - screen_shot8.png - screen_shot9.png - screen_shot10.png - screen_shot11.png - screen_shot12.png - screen_shot13.png - screen_shot14.png - screen_shot15.png - player_profile_template.png - jersey_template.blend The purpose of the template is to provide a tool for designers showcase their jersey designs in full length, higher resolution, and from different angles in order to capture all of the jersey's logos and artwork in greater detail (see image below). As well, a player profile template is provided within the Blender jersey template to help pre-visualize in Blender how your design will look (approximately) in-game, with the focus of the player profile template being mostly a tool to help verify logo/artwork placement on the player's jersey to the correct in-game height and positions. Within Blender, you can quickly cycle through and render normal jersey files very quickly. (The installation of Blender 4.0 or higher is required to use the jersey template. You will need to download that from their website separately). Check out the following thread to see the template's pre-release development history, https://forums.ootpdevelopments.com/...d.php?t=352922 Many thanks to Wabba for use of the jersey files used to demonstrate this template. https://forums.ootpdevelopments.com/...d.php?t=351461 Version history: ver. 1.0: - May 3, 2024. - initial release. - more tweaks to torso and texture mapping. These are awesome!
How easy is Blender to use (If you know Illustrator, Photoshop, Aftereffects, GIMP, Inkscape) I feel like there's a reason I've never taught myself Blender but I don't remember it now

1. load the jersey_template.blend file into Blender. 2. import your custom jersey into Blender. 3. show some basic rendering options, - render with jersey, head, and player profile template. - render with jersey, head. - render with jersey only. - modify lighting and shadows on the jersey. - modify the color of the head. - alter the angle of viewing. 4. save your rendered jersey image(s) as a bitmap and exit. This is seriously awesome, great work I can't wait to visualize some of the custom jerseys I have made on a full-sized model.

Here is a render with a slight Bloom effect, and rotated head pose. Notice how the shadow on the upper torso follows the head rotation.

This is fantastic, I practically tried it on all my custom jerseys just so I could see the lower torsos on a model for the first time. Here are some various ones that I liked the best.

If you rotate your custom jersey image 180 degrees within your graphics editor and add a player's name and number, save it, and then load it into the jersey template for Blender, you can easily have a rendering of the back of the jersey to compliment the front

Your contributions to the community have been fantastic, not just filling a gap in the market but such high effort/high quality outcomes. Thanks for taking the time to do it.

update... I am just putting some finishing touches on version 1.5 of the jersey template for Blender, - more refining of the torso to improve its overall appearance and more tweaks to the torso's texture mapping to fix some minor texture stretching and compression issues (mostly with jersey's that have horizontal arm band graphics, and main team logos that are positioned higher up on the jersey) - added two new templates with the head pre-rotated to allow for some more poses (one of these new templates is specifically for rendering the back of the jersey). - updated readme.html file to illustrate how to add "C" and "A" crests to front of the jersey along with player's name and number on the back of the jersey, as well as the player's number on the arms of the jersey in order for them to render correctly.
