Cubedrum's photo pack
Just an update on the progress of the all new photo archive. I have approaching 2000 photos ready to go. I'm now going through the database and correcting errant information, boxrec info, and adding a few fighters from TF2001 that were omitted. I hope to be done in about 2 weeks. The photo pack is really going to be amazing, as I am a lot better at editing photos than I was. Many of the photos have been rescanned, and look better than ever.

I also have to weigh in and say a big thanks to Cube. My enjoyment of TF2001 was increased a lot by the work he put into his previous photo packs, so I will be very grateful to him again when he finishes this version.

Having resized a few of your photos for use in TBCB, I know how much work you must be putting in Cube. It is much appreciated and will make the game even more special in my opinion.
Thank you again. |

Seriously Cube, you are the man! It is surprising how much it adds having the fighters mug in the game. Thanks a bunch for your efforts!
Peace! |

Cube,
You're doing it again, making the game better. Now with the main event fighters pictures appearing on the fight cards these photos are even more valuable to the game. Cube needs to be added to the hall of fame for this game. PS your websight looks great. I was just in yesterday beginning to update mine. Gus

Hey watch that Bush remark, he doesn't have a blue dress with DNA around. It could be worse we could have ole piano legs Hillary there. I might create her in the game of course she would be a HW.
Bush by the way was an avid gamer. He used to have an APBA baseball league. That's a gaming company here that makes computer & board sports simulation games. Gus

Thanks cube for all the hard work. I keep on trying to find fighters that we might want to add later and track down pics for them as well. And Dempsonny i think that Bush still plays APBA, God knows he doesn't work on the economy : )

sounds awesome- I could never get the photo download to work.
I unzipped the file copied to Image-fighter section but nothing ever happened I read somewhere about the pictures being case sensitive and I redid 1 to see but it didn't work either is there a step I was missing? |

He he,
You are downloading a photo pack that was meant for TF2001. The new game is picky about what you name your photo files, so I've redone the entire archive. It will be coming very soon, don't worry. Just added something like 90 photos from the awesome http://www.ring-japan.com/oriental.htm site. Sooooo many asian fighters I didn't have. Cube

Cube;
Will you be just adding the renamed pictures? It won't rewrite the database, will it? Much as I would love to have the photos, I don't want to lose my current "universe<" either. P.S.: I have pics of Kid Norfolk, Ron Stander (my avatar) and Alabama Kid if you want them.

The photos go into the images/fighters folder, which is empty when you get the game, so photo packs shouldn't affect the database. You can have more than one photo for each fighter as long as you give them a unique name,in the format specified in the manual. For example if I already have a photo called holmes_larry_No6 and I add holmes_larry_cube, the game will show small arrows under the photo that let me switch between the two.

can't wait to see the photos, Cube. If anyone is interested in some photos here's a link to my yahoo photo album. Now I just have to change the file names so they will work in this new game...

Vistaman,
You don't need to use the new database, but if you don't you'll be missing out on literally hundreds of corrections in spelling, boxrec.com references, and many instances of errors in fact. At least 70 won't show up without you first renaming the fighter in your game. You also won't get Vinny Pazienza, Nate Miller, or any of 10 or so fighters omitted since TF2001 (actually many more omitted, only some saved). When I started this project, I was keeping track of the changes. But as the corrections numbered into the hundreds I stopped. Figuring no one would be as insane as me to change them all by hand. The database is now 100% correct through the letter C. Anyone have a good photo of Johnny Arthur? Stay tuned Cube

Until there's a way to do it without losing my universe, I'm going to have to miss out, I guess. Too much time invested, and don't want to redo it. Like Cap, I may not make it that far ... LOL
