How much money did you spend/how many packs did you have to rip before getting that card?
I'm doing research on the luck involved in the game.

I see one on the AH house for 320k. Just a bit more than I could scrape together.

This card does not seem to be selling at the same price range as perfect Young and perfect Walter any longer. I am not sure why as it seems to be an equal card in FIP expectations. Maybe it is because it lacks the strikeout numbers of the other two cards, but this card is still a top 5 pitcher.

There are now 2 Maddux cards for 320K each. It's crazy that this card just dropped 25% all of a sudden. I'd love to pick this up but I can't really justify spending any more money on this game when tournaments are still so far away and OOTP GO looks like it might not happen until OOTP 21.

Walt never shows up so his price is higher. Maddux/Walt very similar on the FIP scale. |

Schilling and Pedro now selling for 300K. maddux will sell for slightly less than them...you need a specific type of team to make maddux work. ppl end up selling him because he doesnt do as well as they think he should for them.
the "worth" of a particular card comes from the level at which a buyer is willing to buy and a seller is willing to sell. the "worth" of the Maddux card is going lower because you have anxious sellers. and no one is buying at 320. that card will sell for less than 300 in the next week. |

I could make Maddux be a top 3 pitcher, but I don't want to adjust factors like you said. Need a specific style and he becomes dominant. |

doesn't make sense that he's going for under half a mil but I guess people are anxious to dump him. I'd consider selling him if he could get me Josh Gibson, but right now he's not at that level unfortunately.

I would love to replace my 99 Maddux with the perfect version, but I can't justify spending the PP at the current rates. If he dips under 300K then I would consider it, but even after selling the 99 I would still be down approximately 150K for a marginal upgrade.
