Bobby Orr - #40???

Hi Jeff. In the Boston Historical Challenge, Bobby Orr is listed as having uniform #40. I know he was a pretty obscure player, but he was actually #4...

Seems to be something going wrong in the setup, he's definitely set to have #4 in 69-70, but for some reason the game's giving the number to Murray Davison, a minor leaguer who doesn't even have a preference for 4. Looks like a bug, we'll check it out.

Ah, fixed it. I think I wasn't sure if that season with Syracuse in 1974 was him signing there as a free agent or loaned from San Diego. Was he still under contract when he was playing in the Southern league in 76-77? Right now I don't have him with San Diego that year.

It looks like there's something going wrong in the setup; the Rangers should own the rights to those two when you start in 1974, but they should be unsigned. However, for some reason they're actually on the roster and under contract. We'll get that fixed.

Robby Fabbri of Stl Blues. The game has him listed as right handed and #51 in the opening night database but he is left handed and #15.

Thanks, I'll get those fixed. They won't make it in in time for the next update, but they'll be in the one after that.

Frédéric Gamelin (eliteprospects, hockeydb) is born 2nd April 1998 in FHM3 and FHM4 (v4.6.75). Correct would be 11th July 1994.

Garrett Milan (eliteprospects, hockeydb) is born 27th Jul 1997 in FHM3 and FHM4 (v4.6.75). Correct would be 5th Apr 1991.

Guillaume Decelles (eliteprospects, hockeydb) is born 12th Jul 1988 in FHM3 and born 29th Apr 1994 in FHM4 (v4.6.75). Correct would be 29th May 1994.

Not sure 'bout the real date of birth of Guillaume Vien (eliteprospects, hockeydb). He's born 29th July 1996 in FHM3 and FHM4 (v4.6.75), which seems to be wrong. But eliteprospects say d.o.b. is 20th Jul 1996, hockeydb say it's 1st Aug 1996. Personally I'd tend to 20th Jul 1996, because he appears with that date more often, i.e. in this little article.

The exact same player Harri Ilvonen appears two times in FHM3 and FHM4 (v4.6.75):

Hubert Labrie (eliteprospects, hockeydb) is born 20th May 1990 in FHM3 and FHM4 (v4.6.75). Correct would be 12th Jul 1991.

Ilya Nikolayev (eliteprospects, hockeydb) is born 1st Dec 1994 in FHM3 and FHM4 (v4.6.75). Correct would be 20th Jan 1994.

There are two different versions of Jacob Schmidt-Svejstrup (eliteprospects) in FHM4 (v4.6.75)

Jakub Houfek (eliteprospects, hockeydb) is born 17th Oct 1996 in FHM3 and FHM4 (v4.6.75). Correct would be 20th Jan 1994.

There are two versions of Jari Allevi (eliteprospects) in FHM4 (v4.6.75).

Jeppe Holmberg (eliteprospects, hockeydb) is born 4th Jun 1996 in FHM3 and FHM4 (v4.6.75). Eliteprospects and hockeydb have different dates, but his home club Aalborg Pirates listed him 14th Jun 1996 (link). So eliteprospects has it probably correct.

Jimmy Vesey (eliteprospects, hockeydb) is born 25th May 1993 in FHM3 and FHM4 (v4.6.75). Correct would be 26th May 1993.

The exact same player Jiri Puhony (eliteprospects) exists two times in FHM3 and FHM4 (v4.6.75). One time written "Jiri Puhony", the other time written "Jiří Půhoný".

Joey Haddad (eliteprospects, hockeydb) is born 10th Dec 1988 in FHM3 and FHM4 (v4.6.75). Corrrect would be 12th Oct 1988.

Jordy Bellerive (eliteprospects, hockeydb) is born 1st May 1999 in FHM3 and FHM4 (v4.6.75). Correct would be 2nd May 1999.

Kael Mouillierat (eliteprospects, hockeydb) is born 7th Sep 1987 in FHM3 and FHM4 (v4.6.75). Correct would be 9th Dec 1987.

Kyle Burroughs (eliteprospects, hockeydb) is born 12th Jun 1995 in FHM3 and FHM4 (v4.6.75). Correct would be 12th Jul 1995.

Linus Skager (eliteprospects, modohockey.se) is born 6th Sep 2000 in FHM3 and FHM4 (v4.6.75). Correct would be 20th Feb 2000.

Kris Schmidli (eliteprospects, hockeydb) is born 24th Dec 1980 in FHM3 and FHM4 (v4.6.75). Correct would be 3rd Jul 1996. That's a record breaking 16 years off.

...

Sorry, I'd prefer not having to do this, believe me. But I'm working on that big package with player photos, and if I want to make the pics work in FHM I certainly have to get the filenames right. Means I have to check the name and date of birth of the players. That's where I'm noticing some issues here and there. I could leave that just unreported, but would that make any sense?
** Just to clarify **

1974 Start

Jack Valiquette (C) is born in 1956. Ref.: hockeydb, hockeydraftcentral, sault ste. Mary legends, NHL.com, etc
Hockey Ref site is wrong on that one.
Yes he was selected in 1974 draft, but as a 18ys. He was expected to be the next Phil Esposito. But he lacks skating skills, particularly in the balance department (ref hockey Legends). He tried to upgrading his skating (even changed his skates) but never achieved to be totally NHL level.
So, I think he is suposed to be borned in 1956, have a better Offensive potential and lesser skating (especially Balance).

Everything reported up to here should be fixed in the next update, with the exception of DeBrincat, which is an issue with a player as old as him still being in college and his birthdate getting adjusted by the game to keep him in what it sees as the "correct" range. Once he's graduated it'll show the correct date in future versions of the database.

Andre Boudrias should be a playmaker center, not an off. oriented LW.

1995 start, Johnny Bucyk's number is listed as retired in the Boston Bruins, but it is incorrectly listed as 8 when it should be 9. This is causing Cam Neely to not be able to use #8 in the game.
