Invalid Database Version
I just got a new laptop and tried using FHM3 and my most used saved game now doesn't load and I get the "Invalid Database Error" issue. I transferred over the stuff from my old hard drive including the FHM3 saved games and what not.
I have another saved historical game that does load so I'm not sure what the issue is with this one? Any idea? Thanks! |

Is your FHM3 version updated to the most recent one? You'd get that message if you were trying to load a save that was last saved with a newer version into an older version of the game.

It's the opposite actually. The last time I played this save game was before the latest update. So I guess I'd be opening an older save into a newer version. Not sure if that makes a difference. |

Yeah, that should work properly. Maybe upload the file and we'll try to see if there's anything wrong with it, it's strange to get that message in any situation other than trying to load a save that's been created with a newer version (or a really old version, but in this context, "really old" would have to be an unreleased alpha build from last spring or summer.) Directions for uploading it to our ftp site are here, or just uploading it to a file sharing site like dropbox or filedropper.com and send me the link.

Just uploaded the DAT files to the FTP site as "BrettCInvalidDatabase". It said in the instructions there should be 25 DAT files and I had 35, so I don't know if that has something to do with it or not. Let me know what you find! |

25's OK, I think Markus copied that over from the OOTP tech support section, so the number probably referes to OOTP, I'll fix that.
I'm getting the same message, so I'll send the save over to Malte to have a look, he should be able to tell exactly what's going wrong. |
