Hoping for a future in history...
Probably in the minority of players in the community wanting to enjoy OOTP20 as a historical replay platform. And I think the developers have made great strides in that direction considering it hasn't been their MO
while growing the simulation. But the one feature desperately needed in order to go forward with the historical replay is the platform's ability to show the up coming pitcher's schedule. As it stands now if one is replaying a season using real life transactions and lineups you don't know if the reliever you put in today's game will be the starter in tomorrow's game. Not so much of a issue in the modern game but historically the starter/reliever roles were a little less defined. |

Yes but that doesn't help with knowing when a pitcher's next scheduled start would be.
To take an example: John Cerutti (Jays'88) ) 12 starts and 34 relief appearances. Stottlemyre, the same year; 16 starts 12 relief. How you decide when to use them as a reliever when you don't know when their next scheduled start is? Their roles weren't really defined that year until the season was well under way. |

This just happened to me replaying the 1977 season.
I used Jim Kaat in relief for 2 innings not knowing he was the next day's starter. As a result, I only barely got 4 innings from him in his start even though he pitched shut out ball. He was wasted. Had to take him out. |
