Had to turn off injuries
I hated to do it because it really takes away from the enjoyment of the game but career-ending injuries were getting ridiculous. In one game Babe Ruth, Shoeless Joe Jackson, and Tris Speaker all had career-ending injuries. That's excessive even if it's an outlier. There were probably more but those were just the players I had shortlisted or on my team.

agree!
Yes, they have never fixed this issue in any mobile version. Injuries ruin this game. I have turned them off on every version - it's the only way to enjoy.
I was hoping they would fix the issues on MLB, but it was really just a facelift. |

Wow I'm actually shocked to hear this. I've never had many injuries to begin with and very rarely seen a career ending one. My guess would be its just an extreme outlier but obviously that's only based on my personal experience playing around 100 seasons thus far

My experience has been the same as ZTO333's. I see them occasionally but not at a rate that would be unusual. I've also played over 100 seasons and have only once had a player on my team have a career-ending injury.

I just wish career-ending injuries could be turned off.

18 career injuries
I am on season 2151 on MLB Manager and I have seen way to many injuries that it ruined the game. I had to turn it off. Now I play a different way then most. I sim the game for the week, then do my line-ups and such and sim again. I don't actually play a full game ever. I just sim.

***** not sure if this is available on the ios versions *****
You can adjust the CEI value for any listed injury: Documents>Out of the Park Developments>OOTP 16>database>injuries CEI are the 4th value in each listed injury. Change the value from 1 to 0. I'm considering this right now, uncanny timing. Giancarlo Stanton suffered a fractured skull, Sergio Romo had a similar injury in an earlier "test" career, and it ended being a CEI. Romo retired. Now I don't want to feel like i'm cheating fate, but what a tragedy if this 25 year old retires. What would Chuck Norris do with CEI value on this injury?

As soon as I turned injuries back on in another game George Brett went down at the age of 35.

David Wells, Mark Eichhorn and one other player gone with career ending injuries before their respective primes were up.

First week of the season and three other players down for a significant amount of time.
I'm done with this game unless this is addressed in the next version. |
