Fictional League - Different Concept

(League Concept)

The year is 2015 - The steroid issue that had plagued the league since the release of the Mitchell Report has created a backlash throuought MLB

Older fans dissapointed in what they call the ruining of the game and the purity of the records. The younger fans allready defecting to the more extreme sports have been virtually unseen in Ballparks in any kind of number for some time.

This has caused the contraction of MLB as some of the smaller market teams could not compete any longer as their attendances plummeted to a point of having to fold

After the smoke had cleared - 16 teams remained - These teams were broken into 4 divisions of 4 teams (Representing the American Conference and the National Conference) each team had only a AAA affliate as payroll was at a premium. High salaried, High profile players were released and replaced by lower cost players. Though this was experimental at best, The hope was that these 16 teams free from attitudes, arrogance and steriord use could continue a tradition that had been going on since the 1870's.........

(Here is the different league concept part)

Normall leagues are formed, Teams created and managers recruited... I have decided that in order to try and secure a good well attended league I am going to make a few "quirks"

1.) I will allow managers to pick their own teams and AAA Affliate, This allows managers to pick their own teams rather than having to pick from an allready selected set of teams (thus maybe having more "loyalty" to the league if they are controlling a team they like) -

ONLY REQUIREMENT : Both the team and it's AAA Affliate MUST have been a real team (any time in history) and the teams do not need to be affiliated IRL so you can take the Dodgers and Mudcats

2.) I will take ideas for rules AND settings from the managers to help tailor the league to the management liking as well as whether we use 2007 or 2008

Other specifics can be sorted as we fill the teams...

I have no site or forum up at the moment - This can be done in a matter of hours. But I want to get the league filled prior to setting up sites

I have 15 more openings

Are you using OOTP8?

If so, I would like the Chicago Cubs/Tulsa Drillers (if it is okay to use a AA team for my AAA team)
