Meet Demand
With my league's free agents having just filed, I decided to offer a contract to a 1B/2B to strengthen my infield. His initial demand was for a 5-year contract at what appeared to me to be a reasonable wage, so I clicked on 'meet demand' only to see him turn down the offer and say he wanted a shorter contract (3 years, slightly higher average annual wage).
Is there any explanation for why this should happen? |

Players sometimes change their minds/demands during FA. It happens irl too.

That's fair enough - seems a little odd when it happens instantly like that rather than after a few days considering the offer, but I guess you can't accurately replicate everything.

But, I use OOTP to tell "new stories" so I find this helps build flavor. Totally get why you were weirded out, however!
