Arthur Valentine (84965)
Boxrec W5(KO 2)/ L4 (KO 2)/ D0
Valentine held both the 130 and 135lb English 'Championships'. He defeated Jim Burge and Charley Johnson before being stopped by both Charles McKeever and Billy Ernst. I'm going to try and dig up some more info on Valentine, but here is the initial file. This rating is speculative and not part of the database. |

Jim Williams (18256)
Boxrec W15(KO 10) / L5 (KO 4) / D3; nc's 3
Williams is listed in Boxrec as a Middleweight but I have rated him at Light Heavy. His 'database opponent' fights included a knockout win over Charles Turner, a points win over Geo LaBlanche and a ten round draw against Sailor Tom Sharkey. Williams was also stopped by Mexican Pete Everett, Dan Creedon and Sailor Tom. None of them could be described as 'light tappers'. Any other input on Williams would be appreciated. This rating is speculative and not part of the database. Last edited by Tosti; 01-18-2010 at 02:29 PM. |

Your best bet would be to get in touch with Bear, he posted the original rating of your great grandfather and he may have more info. Regards |
