Historical single-season did not reset? Very upset!

I spent hours developing a single season historical league for replay in which I edited the teams and players that took me hours and hours to do. After completing the season, the game went into the next year and deleted my historical teams and players that I imported and edited. The game had all sorts of injuries to players as well not that I cared to play the next season. My 1927 Yankees were gone and the 1970 Yankees were present early some of them were present. Needless to say I am upset. It game should have been reset to the beginning I thought. I never would have spent the hours I did in creating such a league if I knew that was going to happen. Can anyone explain what happened to this ridiculous situation? I don’t think I’ll ever buy another OOTP game again because I am so furious at this point.

The missed step was not saving it as a quick start and/or backing it up.

Unfortunately ... back-ups are important. i lost 30 + years of custom Negro League entries once because i didn't make back-ups .... lesson learned for me. (i still do manual Negro League entries and it takes me hours to get them in each season ..... but i make a back-up everytime i finish a playing session now.)

Sorry to hear the work you put in was lost. i haven't played single season replays, so i guess i don't understand why you'd roll it over for another season. i do know, as in the case of minor leagues, you have to follow the games history (you can't mix them with fictional minors), so maybe the game didn't have a valid league structure to follow for the next season and so put everyone into free agency that didn't have a "home". ? Hopefully you can recreate your game and figure out what went awry. Best of luck.
