Can I manually set the draft pool?

Is there a way to manually set the amatuer draft pool. I don't necessarily want to import rookies in sequence. For instance, I start a historical league in 1986, but I migjht want to bring in rookies from 1955?

I am thinking of starting an online league which will start in 1986, but every other year will bring in rookies from Pre-1960.

thanks

no you can't set what draft class you want the game only imports the years draft class you're in.

i wish you could set the draft class but as far as i know your stuck with the year you're in

Yes, you can import historic players into OOTP. It has to be done individually. So if you wanted say Ted Williams as a 21 yr old, you could do that.

Problem is you can't add them to the draft class. You could always hold a draft outside the game for those players you brought in each year, then manually assign them to the team that drafted them.

Their history wouldn't reflect who drafted them though.

I really wish that stuff like this was not only possible, but easy to do. There are various time-warp scenarios that would be fun, if the game was more flexible in that way.

Some people have created random debut databases that did this. Basically they just changed debut dates for players so supposedly if you can edit the database you are using to import from, you could randonly change debut dates for players and have players from various decades get introduced into your league randomly.
