100 Cobb 99 Cobb 96 Cobb 99 Kaline 98 Gehringer 97 Newhouser 97 Greenberg 97 Crawford 97 Cash 92 Morris 91 Mize ... were not even needed and are still UNLOCKED and can be sold if needed (or kept for future missions as I can't believe not one of my Cobbs was needed for so much as one mission!) According to my spreadsheet of what they cost me and what I reckon I could sell the above cards for plus all the new SE Tigers I'm not feeling like anyone should feel too sorry for us saps that got in on the Tiger Train early... The fact these cards weren't needed lead me to think we haven't seen the last of these Tiger's missions... Up until now they have been seriously underrepresented. Ozzie diamond card is in essence his PEAK card; doubtful there's another Ozzie card that will be better than that one. That card is based on his 1987 season where he was 2nd in MVP, no other offensive season of his was all that close to '87 unfortunately.

There could be room around the margins for some offensive improvement. For example, he ranked 4th in AB per K with 16.7 in 1987, but it jumped to a career high of 30.3 in 1993 when he had a scant 18 K's in 603 PA's to lead the league. 1987 was clearly his best single year, but he did certain individual things better in other years that could push his Peak card higher.

I may have just bought the first Tim Salmon (All Time and Last 7 Avg's show up as soon as one has been sold, right?). This appears to be a sneaky good card and will be an immediate upgrade for my team at DH. Avoid K is lower than I normally care for, but I felt the price (29,999) was too good to pass up.
Thank you, Sixto Lezcano, for your many, many years of surprisingly high production. You will not be forgotten.

In today's mission news, some of my Tigers are selling after lowering the prices a bit. Angels don't seem to be selling. |

It would be very disappointing if peak Pujols is not that good. He should be the best righty 1B in the game with fairly good defense
Unfortunately the games rating formula punishes all other cards because Cap Anson only struck out ten times per season back in the 1880s |

They can fudge the numbers a bit too though. Like John Smoltz seems way more powerful than you would expect.

I somehow sold all the parts I had to "Live Sinkers" for 250 each despite the fact you need 6 of them for just a standard pack and there are 22 iron possibilities to choose from
lol people a week from now these cards will all be going for 20 points |

I just opened 5 packs and ended up with 3 of the sinker/stinkers. That mission can probably be done without any auction house funny business seeing as I've seen most of those faces in my packs as iron filler for months.

I wish I would have thought of that... but I got a live gold in the pack, so I guess I broke even.

Found a 1972 Tug McGraw for 2,400 to complete the Amazin' Mets mission after a scant four months of poking in the dark. The resulting Seaver card is actually up for sale because I already have the (97) Seaver, who currently has an active 12-game winning streak in Diamond. Why touch that?

Does anyone have the Newhouser? Haven't seen one on the AH
Gonna finish the Tigers if he is a 150K+ type pitcher just gotta wait for the diamonds to come down like they always do. Freehan is going to be ridiculous though, who thought it was a good idea to require every card from so many sets especially a 96 that some people actually use. |

he's one of those non-100 that doesn't make sense why he isn't a 100.

According to my own (very, very, very) elementary spreadsheet, he's the #4 overall pitcher in the game. I do favor "stuff" and "movement" as well as individual pitches pretty highly though. Here's his stats so far in a pretty tough perfect league:

OK that is nice, looks very similar to SE rube waddell. Would put him around 300K, definitely a mission set worth doing.
