Importing Historical Players
I want to import historical players into my games.
I have been doing this one player at a time. As you can imagine, this takes a long time to do if you're importing over 400 players. In OOTP 16, I noticed that the importing players dialog has a new option. It says something about importing multiple players at the same time by importing a text file. The individial players are identified by their Lehman ID and the year being imported - Babe Ruth in 1917 would be "ruthba01,1917" Now here's the question... would the file look like this: britoza01,2011 bumgama01,2009 donaljo01,2010 fishedo01,2009 freemfr01,2010 goldscpa01,2011 or this britoza01,2011, bumgama01,2009,donaljo01,2010, fishedo01,2009, freemfr01,2010, goldscpa01,2011 |

Use my importer 3.0 plus and you only need to know the team name and year.
Otherwise, you can find them on the league settings/edit league structure page. It's to the right of each team's Abbrev. You can also export the rosters and all the ids are on the top portion of the text file. |

The Importer 3.0 app... is that a Windows program? I downloaded the folder, but I can't out what icon is for the app... then it dawned on me... I have a Mac... Thanks anyway. |

It is an Open Office spreadsheet, not an app

I have downloaded it and it seems to work, but I am at a loss as to how to use it properly. Too much excel exposure, I guess.
