What do regions do exactly?

I was thinking of toying around with the world_default to add regions for each of the 16 Little League regions. In the game, each region would have a league and there would be 36 teams or so each year that would compete to win the league and go to the Little League World Series.

But, what do regions do? Do they affect player origins, and other things? Or do they just affect which default cities are generated in league setup?

Yes to both. Default cities for the teams will be chosen from the locations in the region and players will only be from those areas as well.

Alright thanks. Scrapped the LLWS idea but I'll experiment with adding those regions anyway.
