The final game of 2002. There is absolutely no significance to this game at all for either team. Hollywood is locked in 2nd place and we are locked in 5th place. We could tie the Angels with a win, if they lose their game, but they hold the tie breaker on us with a better head to head record.

September 23 - Toronto lost at Baltimore, 7 to 0, ending their 15 game winning streak. Jeff Hunt (26-) shut them out on 5 hits. He walked 1, beaned 1 and struck out 5. At bat, he had a hit. It is his 6th shutout of the season, which leads all of Baseball. He is now 15-13 with a 2.71 ERA in 35 starts.
September 24 - CF Tom Boyles (23-R) of Denver had 4 hits, scored 4 runs and had 2 RBI at home versus Milwaukee. The Bears won, 17 to 4.
September 24 - Greg Ware (26-L) of Oakland pitched a 3 hit shutout at San Diego. He did not walk a batter and struck out 6. 95 pitches thrown. At bat, he had 3 hits and 2 RBI. It is his 2nd shutout of the season. He is now 19-8 with a 2.80 ERA in 34 starts. The Oaks won, 7 to 0.
