I had a bit of a hard time initially trying to figure out what to do with the outfield seating, given the high walls (20' all the way around), before realizing that I could actually put seating under the bleachers - note the picnic-style patio seating in the left and right field corners. And your eyes aren't deceiving you, the support columns for the scoreboard are designed to resemble grain silos, and the batters eye in center is a living cornfield!

The cornfield in center field is genius. Instantly reminded me of Field of Dreams.

Yep. If you get close enough it's pretty obvious.

Oh, wow, I honestly didn't even think of that, at least not consciously. I guess my subconscious is really clever!

No, but the texture image references cheese curds and the "Milwaukee Burger".

Fidelity Financial Stadium, home of the Jacksonville Gators

Quote:
Fidelity Financial Stadium, casually known as “The Swamp” by fans in Jacksonville, is a neoclassical ballpark built in 1999 and was their first permanent home. The outfield walls are coated with ivy, a tradition the Gators are trying to claim as their own. The angular sections in the corners of the outfield have only a 3.5 foot wall, which leads to a lot more homeruns--and robbing of homeruns--than you would see in any other ballpark. The real unique feature of the stadium is the gator pond in the batters’ eye in center field which holds six American Alligators. Don’t worry, the pond is separated enough from the main concourse so that safety is not an issue. Surprisingly, no gator has been struck by a homerun ball, though John Adams, the leader in homeruns with 327, was rumored to turn batting practice into target practice in his playing days.
Did you know there are multiple alligator models in the 3D Warehouse? Also, you might notice that the day & night skylines aren't actually the same image - when looking for skyline images I noticed that Jacksonville has a particularly colorful skyline, which I wanted to make sure didn't get lost here.

I can't get over the amount of detail that you put into these parks. It's like they are Blender quality... Jaw dropping.

Isn't it nice to finally sit back and relax while eriqjaffe works like a machine cranking these babies out?

You might even find time to actually play OOTP.

Believe it or not, I’m going through all of my historic parks one by one and trying to improve them where I see it needs to. Mostly the crowd is where I have issues. Most changes may not be noticed to OOTP players, but they do to me. I’ve rebuilt from scratch Comiskey, Fenway and Cleveland stadium. Added back the detail that was there originally and am also trying to add detail to the areas viewable in game. This is not a done deal in my case by any means. Haha

Yeah, I've seen that you've been working quietly behind the scenes.... But don't drive yourself crazy... make sure you take a little time to play the game! haha.

Music City Ballpark, home of the Nashville Blues

Quote:
Music City Ballpark is another neo-classical stadium, built in 1996 in the heart of downtown. The center field view looks out across the Cumberland River and toward the state capitol, one of the most beautiful settings in all of baseball. This is another pitchers’ park, with the 16 foot fences most of the way around the outfield, save for right field. The minimal amount of foul territory does balance out, keeping hitters in the box longer. “Welcome to Music City” and two guitars are carved into a hedge in the center field batter’s eye, which has become iconic to both MCB and the city of Nashville.

As a native of Nashville, I have been so excited about this park! It looks incredible. I love the "Yazoo" Sign too. AWESOME touch and beautiful ball park. Keep up the amazing work.

Suns Ballpark, home of the New Mexico Suns

Quote:
The thin air and short porches make Suns Ballpark one of the more homerun-friendly stadiums in the league. Perhaps that’s the reason Hernandez and Barajas put up gaudy numbers in the past, but New Mexico fans will surely tell you otherwise. Built in 2006, the park is brand new and is in top notch shape and looks like it could be around for decades.
I tried to add a bit of a Southwestern feel to this park, using adobe where I might ordinarily go with brick, and adding a few unobtrusive turquoise accents around the park. The batters' eye here is a sand surface with live cactus growing in it, similar in a way to Iowa's cornfield.

GNB Ballpark, home of the New York Knights

Quote:
Goliath National Bank Ballpark was newly constructed in 2009 and has been altered numerous times in order to aid the struggling pitching staff. As more southpaws come through New York, the left field wall was pushed out with hopes of less homeruns to visitors. Despite the changes to the field, GNB Ballpark is still considered one of the finer parks in the league because of the classic brick architecture, reminiscent of the old Knights Colliseum.
