Re-Generate Schedule

I started a fictional league with a MLB type setup with no minor leagues.

I want to start as the LAA GM.

162 seems too long for me, so I want to trim the schedule down to 43 Games:
- playing NL once = 15 Games
- playing AL twice = 28 Games (2x14)

Is that possible? If so, how can I do that?

Many thanks in advance.

Greetings from Germany.

The best way is to create your own schedule ...

Das wäre super. Gibt es eine Anleitung dafür?

Great. Is there a manual?

Actually, it looks like gmo has already created a schedule that might work for you:

I want to give that a try.

How do I put that into my game?
Is there a (step-by-step) manual?

Entweder in den Folder OOTP19 --> data --> schedules oder in einen anderen Ordner und Du importierst es mit edit schedule --> import from file

You'll want to just unzip the downloaded schedule somewhere and then import from the file in the Schedule Editor. The schedule files will probably have an .lsdl extension, but they're really just regular XML files.

name it the same as your league's name.

<league name>.lg
<leaguename>_<leageu level>_C_<comment>.lsdl

e.g.
mlb_ml_C_a.lsdl
mlb_ml_C_b.lsdl

if both of those exist in the ..\data\schedules directory, they will auto-load for major league-level leagues named "mlb". with the comments of a/b, it will rotate between them, too. if it rotates with another schedule that exists, delete or rename that schedule. it's backed up, no worries. each time you install a new patch it will restore that schedule too, fyi.

the manual explains how to name stuff for auto-loading. also check the file names of existing stuff in "data" directory. schedules, logos, caps, ballparks etc can all be used based on name. saves a lot of time for sure.

always keep a backup of all your customized files in a second location. 99.99% of this stuff will work in the next release and you will want to bring it with you. keep the full catalog for re-use.

Thumbs up

Sry but am unable to import that schedule.
I am not the IT guy.

Downloaded zip file, unzipped them and copied both into
document folder (schedules).

Started new "Standard game" unemployed, just to have that starting screen.

Game Settings > League Settings > Options
Edit League Schedule > Actions > Import from File

Unfortunately I then get the message:
"Could not import .... Games per team is 43 .... which is 162"

So I went back to Game Settings > League Settings > Options
changed 162 to 43 games, retried, but message comes again
with interleague issues.

Solved that, but then it says that the league has a different structure than the file.
