Did NCAA make it in?
The MOD section seems the same as previous version, wondering if it made it in

There's a LOT that will have to be done to get NCAA right. Someday, but I wouldn't hold your breath.

It's a dream of mine, but I'm not holding my breath and wouldn't advise anyone else to either

the ping of the aluminum bat was replaced in 2011 with a denser model that simulates wood more. The players hate it of course but it has brought down the college stats down to more reasonable numbers and you don't have skinny SS hitting 400 ft homeruns anymore.

He was just being funny, the bats aren't why the NCAA isn't in game

You could create the Team yourself.

a few years ago somebody made a NCAA League and posted it I believe not 100% sure but If I remember correctly it should posted somewhere here on the bored, you could save as a template then you have all the team names.

I did that but i couldnt get it to work, I don't need the full system, it can be a make belief, I just want the draft to have more meaning. I want most players to come from a league that I can follow.

I think that is a lot more doable -- having the pre-draft stats be based on something, and have competition level be meaningful, that sort of thing. It's been discussed. Keep pushing until Markus responds!

With some effort and time, it is VERY doable to create an NCAA type system. I use the 'American Feeder System' template that was created back in 2015 or 2016 by a member here and that template still works today. I modified it as I saw fit, created a game/career and then modified it more after that. My point; Very doable (imo).

The problem I find is its not actually that simple for a thicko like me. I tried importing the NCAA template and ended up then with mess all over the place , ruining the game I was in. I don't need 100% realism, just as many Uni teams fighting for whatever with rewards and then at whatever age they go to draft, me watching a draft looking at stats from a league that has happened. Don't know if im making much sense

The main difficulty would be to be able to create your own Playoff system. Having each Conference Tournament, then be able to choose at-large bids to the field of 64. Then putting them into 16 different four team double-elimination regionals followed 8 best of three super regionals. Then the penultimate 8 team (2 four team double elimination) College World series.
THIS would be my focus in this game if it were possible to do these Playoff scenarios!!! |

In my league my NCAA ages limits are 18-21 and players are drafted when they reach 21 yrs old(graduate from college), no younger. Maybe not realistic because I do not have 18-19-20 yr olds coming into my league, BUT they do play in college and I can watch each of them, grow in the NCAA) |

vulcan, is there anyway that you could post that feeder system template somewhere, the one in the forums no longer works.

I had a high school set up as well, but it would have caused problems I think. It was a 50 state with 20-50 schools per state (all real schools, cities and teams) with players graduating at 18 that would then be 'drafted' into the NCAA. THEN the NCAA would feed/fill the MLB in the draft. This would mean that NO 18-19-20 yr olds would ever play in any leagues UNTIL they went to college and graduated at 21 or 22 which they would then enter the draft. It was pretty robust, but I deleted all the high school and just went with the NCAA.

What is the best site for uploading so that you guys can download it? Also, it was Bristolduke who created this feeder system mod/template. Hew did an awesome job IMO.
