I downloaded today's patch and Facegen will not initialize. And it's not my high-end graphics card, either.

Angry Jim Unknown now makes my Intl Complex go by by

So same bug here, had the AAA fill up with Jim Unknowns within 2 days after opening day. I went and released them all (btw they were all claimed by other teams of course)

Went back to my screen to move 2 guys from intl complex to A ball and magically my international complex has disappeared

Wish I could revert back to last patch..... Makes for not as fun a Saturday as I had planned

I have the same issue as the Wolf, i have updated my drivers and Facegen still isn't initialized. Any ideas? Or do I need a fresh install?

My facegen is working when I go to the players screens, but when I get a message about a certain player or go to the leaderboard most of the players facegens are not loading. Is this a known issue?

Just downloaded the game for the first time today, was super excited to get started aaaaand none of the facegens work -- just a bunch of blank space to the left of the players' names. Updated my graphics card driver (AMD Radeon 7700 series) and still nothing. Very frustrating! So I downloaded the GPU Caps Viewer and here's what it pumped out at me. Please help!

my game would crash if I go too fast during the game GRRR. Using keyboard and now I use mouse and slow down a bit and It doesn't seem to happen anymore ODD

So, I haven't had any crashes. I get the FaceGens of the players and it works perfectly. I'm wondering if I corrupted the data somehow before and since I re-downloaded the player facepack, it's working right.

I haven't messed with the 3D stadiums yet, will try that next.

I have downloaded & re-installed the game and player-pack 5+ times, and my facegen goes entirely blank.

I have not had the game crash ever, it's just the option for player images disappears which kills (me personally) my playability.

I guess I should just keep re-installing and messing with the OpenGL settings?

Crash on same date every time: June 18

Game crashes on each replay try, on the same date: June 18. I have used the command line method for: nosound nofacegen do_not_use_opengl
All drivers are updated.
Any more ideas?

I found that disabling the Open GL shader option and leaving the GL mode at "always use"worked for me,previously all facegen features had been disabled.I was unable to check my GL driver set-up but the drivers on my Acer laptop all date from 2008 or 9.(Acer haven't updated them)

Is this on a new league, or an already started league? I found that my already started league doesn't work with FaceGen, but if I run the FaceGen prior to starting the league, it works.

I cannot win.

After 10-15 attempts and repeats I got the Facegen to load and work properly with these settings

However after playing 10 or so games and closing out last night, the game now starts with a default Facegen disabled, and even enabling at the start screen when opening and then loading my franchise I get the "Facegen not initialized" option.

So, still not fixed.

This it's very frustrating to feel as though the game thinks my computer is unable to handle Facegen when that is not the case.

Okay I played around with it some more, I guess I need to make my global settings page when I close the game set to "enable" and the OpenGL as use when I close and open the game, but before loading I have to then re-disable the OpenGL.

This is weird and confusing but I guess it works.

so 17 days ago this thread was created with the advice of updating video card drivers. since then numerous people have posted their open GL results (as requested by Markus) yet the last official reply was 15 days ago.

Is this even being monitored anymore by anyone from OOTP Dev?

Any other help besides, update your video card drivers?

This game wasn't cheap and 3d and facegen aren't working for a lot of people.

Honestly i probably wouldn't have bought it had i known ahead of time that my laptop can't run facegen
