Runtime Error
After the last update I've been getting the following error about half the time I try and start the game

First thing I would try is updating your Visual C++ redistributables, something there may be out of date or corrupt:

Have you tried having Steam check that the installation is OK (right-click on FHM5 in your library, Properties, Local Files, "Verify Integrity of Game Files...")? If something's corrupted, possibly due to a bad download when you updated, that should fix it. Although if that's the case, it's odd that it's starting successfully on some attempts. This is happening when you first launch the game, right - not once you're already in and attempting to e.g. load/start a new game?
If that turns out OK, then - select Start in Windows and enter dxdiag into the search box on the taskbar, then run DxDiag from the results, and choose "Save All Information" and send the resulting file to me in a PM. If there's anything in your system configuration that could be causing this, I might be able to spot it there. |
