How do I create players?

I read somewhere that there is a way to create free agents or players to add to the draft pool. But I cannot find this option.

go to page with free agents listing. on far right click on the box (can't recall what it's called, as i'm not at my game computer) - but it's something like "options", - it's sort of rounded and has a color to it. you'll get a drop down menus. one is import historical players. Another is create fictional players.
Click on create fictional players and you'll get a list of options on what the player will be created as. (Such as age range, position, nationality, experience level... and if you want them as Free agents or to go to the draft pool.) If you want to add or change anything, be certain to write the name it generates when it is finished making the player (as you don't have that option at first.)
After a player is created, type the name in search box. Click on player and edit his profile. There you can change nearly everything, name, age, position, potential stats. etc. Hope this helps, sort of sketchy, but i'm doing this by memory, it's late and i'm not at the game computer.

You must be in commissioner mode or the option is not there.

Yea I figured that part out.....problem I'm having now is that it keeps making a guy with 2017 stats on his record already.....when I would make him, he kept having random stats. I think I figured that out too. He needs to be a default player type and not an amateur.

when you 'create a player' that's part of the drop down options you have. make him with zero ml experience etc.

even so, you can change this stuff afterward, if you like a particular random roll of the ratings. 0 for ml service time / pro svc time etc... change age blah blah.

but, it's there to avoid too.

yeah, amatuer will probably be undeveloped in some way. that's definitely one of the options. look through them all. the verbage will be enough.
