Unhappy Roster Issues

I am dealing with a persistent problem of the AI making illogical and foolhardy trades, and reversing roster moves I have made between the majors and the minors. Yes, I can toggle off the AI, but then the teams simply stagnate (I can’t hope to control all thirty of them). When instead I intervene to make moves for weak teams (think Orioles and Pirates) I don’t normally manage, they are frequently reversed. I have tried the fix of controlling individual player strategy, checking the box to require the player stays on the current team (it says “minor league team”, but I think that’s an error, since it seems to work with major leaguers, too). That seems to work; but does not prevent the foolish DFA.

Here’s my example. The 2021 Orioles were 2-12 (and losers of those twelve in a row). I took control, and brought up Cedric Mullins and Adley Rutschman, along with a few changes to the pitching staff, and trades and free agent signings. I managed a few games, and things improved. Then, when I went back to managing the Phillies, I found that the AI had immediately reversed the changes I had made, sending down players who were hitting and pitching well, in favor of lesser players who were not off to good starts in the minors. A fan base would be furious, as would the players involved. Totally unrealistic.

My question is, is there any way to act as manager for more than one team at a time? That is, could I retain control of the O’s and the Buccos, as well as the Phils? Or to put it differently, is there any way to toggle off AI intervention for more than one (but not all) team(s)? Also, can I retain managerial control of a team in the Atlantic League (the Hilton Head Loggerheads), as well as an MLB team? When I manage the Phils for a game, the Loggerheads auto-play. Would like more flexibility. Does the option to create other human managers accomplish this?
