Consecutive scoreless innings! What's it good for?

ABSOLUTELY NUTHIN!

I had a pitcher toss 60 consecutive innings without giving up a run. There is no achievement for that. (Although he did get the reliever of the year award).

That's nice.

At least you accomplished it.

So...maybe we should have a Record-Breakers thread officiale.

We have broken on a number of occasions the MLB record of 30 runs (or 36) in a game by a team. As far as I know the scoreless IP is a record...believe it is 50-something by Orel Hershiser? Of course I don't KNOW that...kind of last I heard thing. And I'm sure many more. So many seasons...and probably a few quirky things that happen in Sim World that wouldn't happen at quite the same rate or in quite the same way on a grass-and-dirt diamond. Post yer interesting records here!...

Vida Blue 23 consecutive W. Who's had a pitcher with more? Dwight Gooden postseason no-hitter. Anyone else? Amazing Joe D's 56 games is somewhat safe (I think, lol) with all of the seasons taking place, some with very high level hitters in lower levels.

I happened to see the Doubledays hit 320 balls for home runs. That was a wow, and I believe an 'eclipse' of the real life record. In Perfects, too.

I'd almost like to see a real-life Perfect Team side-by-side comparison of major and interesting extremes.

...My Brian Wilson 98 in relief last season...in somewhat limited innings posted an ERA under 0.50. I suppose they were rather limited because he was beat out by a few points for reliever of the year, ha. Still the 0.46 was impressive.

There are many records broken in PT that earn players nothing.Rewards?

Possibly one day, but I doubt it.

Ripken's record is trivial without injuries. Lifetime HR RBIs...all a given.

Yeah, I figured that was obvious. Unless someone breaks a lifetime mark in say 20 seasons, might be noteworthy. I'm not sure I've had a player play 162 consecutive yet, lol, though I haven't tried in that area.
