is ootp better on a mac or pc

Using OOTP on a brand new Macbook Pro (intel i7, 2.66 gHZ, 8 GB RAM) and it's a pleasure! No crashes and the sim speeds are blazing fast! Very happy.

I did run OOTPX on a Gateway PC (2.8 ghz intel core2dual, 4GB RAM) and it ran very good on that computer also, though I did seem to experience some crashes once in awhile.

I'm pretty much thinking by this incarnation of the game either version is fine. The game has developed to the point that it is rock solid and speedy on most systems.

Doesn't make too much of a difference IMO. I don't think it's the computer brand that matters, but the amount of RAM and your processor.

OOTP11 also runs great on a 3+ year old macbook pro (2GHz intel, 4GB RAM).

I could be mistaken, but I kind of recall Marcus posting once that the game ran better on a Mac. Forget exacly why, but it had something to do with the MAC os having less overhead and a better file system for ootp (or something along those lines). That was one of the older versions, so not sure if that's still the case.

It runs great on my win7 PC though. Nice and fast and haven't had a single crash or error message.

I prefer to use OOTP on my Macbook. But really it doesn't matter, all that I have seen would matter is the amount of memory you have. The more the better.

I have run it on my four-year-old MacBook Pro (2.33 GHz dual) with 2 GB RAM as well as an Asus 1201N dual-core netbook w/2 GB running Windows 7. It absolutely flies on the Mac but is noticeably slower on the Asus (like a delay in-game when moving from batter to batter). The Mac processor does have a slight speed edge so I'm not sure how much of the difference is strictly platform-related.

I can't actually say for 100% sure that it runs better on a MacBook, but since I love the look and feel of the MacBook as opposed to a Windows computer, I like it better on a MAC.

I'm confident in saying it doesn't run worse on a MAC. I think it just depends what side of the fence you sit on.
