Alternative Databases

Lee recently sent me his database for his massive project and I unzipped the .exe file into a directory in the TB directory. However, when I point Title Bout to it it can't find the fighters, or any of the other necessary data.

So it's clear I did something wrong, and this is a simply and basic enough function that there has to be a clear, concise way to do it that I just don't know. It's times like this that I miss the era of the printed manual.

Unluckily, it did not prove that simple, because the database i was sent consisted entirely of the fighter cards. Lots and lots of fighter cards, thousands of them.

For the database to work, I first had to copy all the subsidiary files from the original database into the new universe's directory. Until I did that, the game wouldn't even open.

so now I have the tricky part. I need to wipe the fighters i copied over and replace them with the new ones. Erasing all the fighters is a snap, but importing the new ones is problematic because of a limit my system seems to place on how many files the normal dialogue box permits me to open simultaneously; while it should be in theory possible to select the whole group and import them at once, in practice this causes my system to freeze.

I don't want to give up on it, because it's a very nice database and just what I need for the project I want to attempt, but I'm not sure how to do it. (My system, for the record, is just about mazed out as far as the RAM my motherboard can handle at 2GB, is a Sempron 2800 running at 1.6 GHz, etc.) etc.
