Email Results to GMs

I am about 2 hours into this and cannot get it to work.
I have RTFM and I am doing something wrong.

The email account I am using is a gmail account.
Sender Name is correct.
Sender email address is correct.
Email Username- I am pretty sure this is supposed to be the email address of the sender but I have also tried the Name listed in our gmail account. Neither have worked.
Email password is correct.
This is the part that I have no technical understanding of.
SMTP Server: I searched the interwebs and found that gmail's SMTP Server is:
smtp.gmail.com
Am I typing this wrong? Should there be a www or http in front?
SMTP Port is 25 or 465 with SSL selected.
I also had a different SMTP server address for SSL but I cannot remember it right now.

Any help is appreciated.

We have had a problem with it in our league for a long time. It takes forever, and some people got the mail and some did not. As far as I know it isn't working.

I know that in the manager option there is a line for an email address. I wonder if some are blank?
I was in a league that used this 3 or so years ago.
I have a GM that this will be very helpful for so I want to get it up and running.

Just saw this and I had a recent email issue with my league as well. What i did to correct the problem was create a new Gmail account specifically for emails and used port 465. My previous hotmail account would not work, but after making a new gmail account it was perfect. Try it?
