Crash after importing leagues

Hi Guys

I need some help again.
I play the game without problems if I generate a fictional league, but as soon as import another league, the game crashes at the draft screen. As soon as I click on "taking a walk", or "drinking a coffee" for the first time, the game crashes.
I have tried everything.
I have downloaded OOTP 5 and OOTP 6 leagues from SimCentral. I have created my own OOTP 6 historical leagues and tried to use them.
I have made sure that it is in career mode, no manager attached, set all the teams on computer manager and run computer manager on all the teams, but it still crashes.
Any help will be appreciated.

I should have added that I use Windiws XP Home 2002 edition with all the latest updates on a Pentium 4, 2.6 GH machine with 512mb of RAM.
I have just under 32gb free on the hard drive.

v6 leagues won't work I don't believe.
