He saved many in the 3rd power play, could also say, they may have lost if he didn't play :-) ... "you'd never know" :-) |

Laval Les Caribous Arena; Laval; Quebec, Canada
DAY 1 Season 1 Saskatoon @ Laval
This was a pretty clinical win for Laval Shots were close both got a Power Play Goal, but Laval just did what good teams do, finish I think this was the biggest margin in face-offs in the games we've had int he first day. And the Laval takeaways added to the frustration for the Bison Sorry Bison supporters, not on this day .. The Reindeer dared to dominate the Bison the final scoreboard Last edited by NolaSola7; 10-10-2015 at 04:29 AM. |

Opening day in Salt Lake (CLE@SLT)
Day 1, Season 1
Cleveland Snow Leopards at Salt Lake Locomotives This was almost the last one, and it was worth waiting for This game featured two teams who could ruin many dreams, and they have not been discussed in this forum really The game had our first come from behind victory and sealing empty goal netter Salt Lake got on the board, Cleveland got two early in the third period to tie and then lead, but lost the lead not too long after Around the 10-8 minute mark in the 3rd, Salt Lake really applied the pressure in the tied game, but G Puopolo really stood in and prevented his team from leaving Salt Lake without 3 points Puopolo got consolation when Pfisterer found the net passed Salt Lake's O'Keefe Then Salt Lake added an extra attacker, and Cleveland set off the alarm with a 4th goal In the test_runs, Salt Lake produced 2 championships, but they also finished dead last.... A few things to note, not all rosters were finished for one, and neither test had the right coaches and styles ... so a few reasons, but they were a surprise success in testing Last edited by NolaSola7; 10-10-2015 at 04:32 AM. |

After a sleepy first period, we saw Alberta come alive with 3 goals in the second period
London, as two other teams, had the back-up playing on opening day. All 3 teams lost. Might have been the only game without at least one goal from a power play. Defencemen opened up the scoring for both teams. Blue liner Joe Kirkland had the first for Alberta, and counterpart Ronald Darke had the first of the season and the only goal on the day for the Jacks. Speaking of defencemen, most teams who won had more hits than their opposition. Face-offs haven't determined victory, but it is just another way to show dominance, London won both the hits and face-off game. Alberta kept the puck, only giving it away once (as recalled, it was on a power play for Alberta) By mid 3rd period Alberta had around double the amount of shots London had, it wasn't until about 20 seconds left that London got to 20 shots. Those last 5 minutes was warp speed for London comparative to the rest of the game, they went from around 14 shots to 20 in those last five minutes. Good, solid win for Alberta at home. Yeah, it's going on pretty intense right now .. will slow down
I may actually play 1 game / in-game day) .... but will have you all vote on which sunday game... and those games will probably have a preview of some kind and a more in-depth report than the usual soon to be in auto-cruise mode ... I mentioned in one of the game reports that a goali must have been hurt... he is I am really showing off the mask I made .... and if you notice... London and alberta have brand names on their helmets ... I added those to all teams today.... I made them very small, however, because they can be kind of distracting |
