Now, now, Mr. Mh2365... To clear up your misperceptions, my Polish girlfriend was indeed legitimate, if only for six months. She's 4,050 miles away, now. No, I never paid her for anything, if you get my drift. I was 52, and she was beautiful and 28. And I couldn't believe it either. I gave her wheels, and we had one fantastic three day trip to Manhattan, but she was an honorable sort, taking advantage wise, and so was I. In all the time I was with her, I may have spent enough for a nice computer, but that's it. She was a casino worker. Everyone said, "She must make you feel young." The opposite was true. All the time, other people would say, "When she meets a younger guy, she's going to dump you." But we played tennis together, played guitar together, had sex together, went to beaches together, went for bike rides together. She held me tight, as we walked over the Brooklyn Bridge, at 6 AM. It was very nice. Franklin Elementary School ALONE was worth it! Now back to boxing. And so with it, goes my last comment about Polish adventures.

Hey Cap, I still need pictures of old Jeff Madden, Fred Bradley, and if possible Jumbo Wells(Hubbard),and his sidekick, Bob "Masked Marvel"Williams, to make my 1912 Heavyweight world complete, but 1910-1915 is still possible.
If 1910-1915 is done, Kid Kenneth(Hey Cap, ain't it funny how that guy JUST HAPPENED to have Kid Kenneth on eBay; we both know he's "all the talk" these days, very much in demand) must be in there, but Tom McCarty REALLY must be in there. His record is a losing one, but that's very deceptive; he lost seven of his last eight fights, mostly against very good fighters(an old Sam Langford, Billy Miske(2), Bartley Madden, Tom Cowler, Fighting Bob Martin, Cliff Kramer)and all by ko. His other losses are two against Gunboat Smith, one by ko,and one each against Jack Dillon and Battling Levinsky, both by decision. And he fought both Dillon and Levinsky to draws, on other occasions. If you've got to lose, these are not embarrassments. On the other hand, Tom McCarty outpointed Jim Savage, Jack Lester, George Rodel(Rodel was actually a good fighter, if you didn't hit him on the chin), Colin Bell and Charley Weinert, koed Sailor Fritts, and drew with Porky Flynn, Terry Kellar, Dillon and Levinsky. If you think McCarty was a bum, you're wrong. I thought he'd be an easier picture than most heavyweights of his time. |

How do you find them?
I'm missing a slug of pics of fighters currently in my uni. I imagine they are around here somewhere, but I'm not exactly sure where to look. Here are just the guys I'm missing from the top 50 in my current UoLBA rankings:
Bill Bradburn James Dalton McHenry Johnson Jack Boylan Dan Donnelly Duncan McDonald Peter Courtney Chet Shandel Billy Keough Fred Crossley Jim Harvey Charles Lange Charlie McDonald Mike Kine Harry Woodson C.C. Smith Morris Grant Steve Taylor Jack McAuley Charlie O'Donnell Billy Australian Smith Dan McCarty I've searched on this site for several and have come up empty, but I know that's not necessarily an indication that they aren't here somewhere. Thanks for the help Matt |

You rock ChargersFan! So did you find those on the site somewhere, or were they in your private stash?
Thanks a bunch. Matt |

Anybody have a pic & rating for Crawford Grimsley?
(It was a complete joke that he got a Title Shot against George Foreman in 1996.) |
