It wasn't as big a massacre, but it will look the same in the record book as the Jays fell 6-4 to the Red Sox. Vlad Guerrero Jr. and Randal Grichuk homered for Toronto. Trent Thornton left the game with injury, but it shouldn't affect his next start. WP - Nathan Eovaldi (10-6) Save - Blake Treinen (8) LP - Raisel Iglesias (2-3) Record - 63-84

The Blue Jays released Juan Lagares, Aaron Sanchez, and Aledmys Diaz.
Lagares had a team option that was never going to be picked up, the other two were arbitration eligible, and this frees up some money to see if we can extend Jose Abreu.

GCL player Arturo De Freitas has decided to leave baseball. The 18 year old Venezuelan got as high as High A in Dunedin, before sliding back down.
Apparently patience isn't his strong suit.
