Game Setup - Farm System Historical Accuracy

Essentially I'm starting a historical starting in 1977.

Historical accuracy I believe only had a farm system with Class A-Short Season.

If I select that as the only farming option, will that stay the same all the way through the career. Or will the farming system expand with historical accuracy.

Sorry just found out I'm wrong.

That farm system applied to the Seattle Mariners (expansion club 77') who I intend to GM/M. Not all clubs.

But the question is the same will the farming system expand historically in game as the career progresses.

At least I just proved I'm a noob to OOTP.......

I don't do this sort of playing, but it is my understanding that it will not. But I'd urge you to seek a more convincing opinion than mine.

Battists, you are correct. Minor leagues for historical leagues mirror the big league setup exactly. If you want the actual setup, you will have to do it manually.

Part of the reason for this btw, is that the history of the minor leagues is EXTRAORDINARILY complex, with structures, affiliations, rules all changing frequently. On top of that, historical records of that sort of thing and who played are spotty at best, especially the further back you go.

Are you adding in players that played for all teams in 1977 including minor leaguers? Otherwise i see no point in going too deep with minor league accuracy. There will never be enough players to completely fill up full minor leagues.

How far back in time and with how much depth in farm system would you recommend??
