Dying isn't the only way to get rid of team anymore
Just had an owner sell a team first time that's happened that I've seen playing so far. Not only that I've only seen one owner death.
After OOTP15 I was beginning to think there was a lot of "inside jobs" going on just so people could inherit a baseball team. Now all those owners can eat soup without questioning the cook and at least some of the sons out there will have to work for a team. |

I may be mistaken but, change of ownership via sale of the team has been in earlier versions as well.

I like it too, it adds realism.

I dunno, my team got sold to a new owner and he upped my budget by a lot... makes the game kinda boring. :P

I had a new owner that was a penny pincher after he bought the club from a free spender. My budget to extend player became 0!

I wish I had that kind of boring. I had a new owner from death inheritance in a earlier world I was working on. Let me tell you dad was great with his money. I had the highest budget. I'm pretty sure was just so happy to have a baseball team he didn't care what happened on the field. His son on the other hand. In 4 years my budget went from highest in the league to lowest. and he was throwing out nearly impossible goals.

It was in the last couple versions I think, but extremely rare. I think it's more common now.

Would be great to be able to buy a team and act as owner hiring both GM and Manager maybe thats a potential something you can do with all of your earned salary after 20-30 years lol

I couldn't play the way they do: If you want to follow baseball but have no control over anything then follow the real thing. But I could see playing as Owner, hiring the GM and Manager (I'd look at the strategy sliders using Commish Mode, but restrain myself from considering the manager's handle and teach values in hiring), and see how the guys I hired succeeded or not. There'd be a temptation to be very generous with the budget, but too much generosity and you might go broke and have to sell the team. That could be a fun mode to play. |

I like that idea, not that it would be easy. I'm afraid some of us would be meddling owners.
