Steam version issue

The game is running fine, but anytime I try to use the Steam overlay, the game freezes. I can only exit out by using taskmanager. Any ideas as to what's causing this?

I'm suffering from the same issue. It's quite inconvenient.

Nothing as of yet, their support is not the fastest service in the world.
