Quote variation

There are so many of the same quotes over and over again when the game is simulating/loading screens. I like that it draws random parts of the league history now, but it doesn't do so with any real consistent frequency. I'm still seeing a lot of the same stuff. Or if there are historical facts drawn from a league, it's super obscure stuff.

The algorithm needs tweaking.

I second this...one of the quote I received while playing was (paraphrasing):
"Ben Revere leads the MLB with 4 hits in one game, tied with 25 other players"

That's a bad quote for two reasons:
A) who cares if he's leading when he's tied with 25 other players. That's a pretty meaningless stat.
B) It needs to tell you if it's a fictionally generated quote or one from real life...how do I know if it's talking about the Ben Revere in my game or the one in real life?

Please remove that stupid Roger Clemens quote about his son "Wanting a piece of him in the bigs in a few years" since none of his kids got out of the minors and Roger has been retired for years. I'd prefer it mightily if it were *only* fictional data from my save that I'm currently playing, as opposed to real world stuff, but would settle for a customizable way to edit those screens.

You can easily customize it by deleting the ones you don't want.

It's just a text file located in the Data folder, Misc folder, file named "hints".

And after you delete the ones you don't want.... you could even add reminders to yourself. I mean I guess I'm not the only one that sits down and starts playing OOTP only to realize later that three days have past, I stink and need a shower, and man I'm hungry. This could be a built in reminder!!! Every now and then one would pop up and say "Feed the dog."

Hopefully it pops up often enough so we don't lose poor Rover....
